1. To stop clothes pegs from making marks on hanging clothes, thread an old pair of tights through the arms or legs and attach the pegs to the tights.
2. To make your own facial scrub mix some sea salt, olive oil and your favourite essential oil together.
3. To make cut flowers last longer add 2 teaspoons of mouthwash to the water. Also cut off any leaves beneath the waterline, as these will rot and make the flowers wilt faster.
4. If you run out of shaving foam for your face or legs, try using some hair conditioner instead.
5. To prevent your kettle from furring up with calcium deposits, put a clean oyster shell inside it. The kettle will remain clean, and the oyster shell will collect the calcium deposits.
6. Use an ice cube tray to keep you jewelry in. The small compartments are great for keeping things like rings and earrings.
7. To avoid loosing stud earrings, poke them into thin cork drink mats.
