Articles On Child Development

If you want to fully understand why someone is the way they are, or why you are the way you are, one of the best places to look is at childhood development.

The reason for this is because your childhood, and the things you learnt and experienced during it, have a big influence on the type of person you are today.

People who had bad childhoods for example, often grow up lacking confidence and having low self esteem. Whilst people who grew up having good childhoods, usually turn out the complete opposite with high levels of confidence and self esteem.

Even though there isn’t anything you can do to change your childhood, there is a lot you can do to change the effects that childhood has on your adult life, and that is the topic of this section.

In it you will learn what sort of positive or negative influences a childhood can have, and what you can do to improve the quality of your life and the way you feel about yourself if you grew up having a bad childhood.

It is important to note however, that a bad childhood doesn’t necessarily mean you were mistreated or abused by your parents, because as you will discover in this section, even parents with the best of intentions can cause their children to grow up suffering from feelings of inferiority and low self worth.
