Before purchasing a glass desk make sure you are aware of what coatings the glass has. Ideally you should be looking for something that has anti-reflective/glare, anti-smudge and anti-scratch properties.

You will usually find these in the more expensive models, so be wary of lower end models as they may contain none of these features.

It is also important that your desk contains a good cable management system, as glass desks that lack a means of concealing wires and cables detract from the desks overall appearance.

Glass computer desks are not only stylish, but they can also be as functional as traditional wooden desks.

For example, they can be fitted with adjustable monitor attachments, shelves for speakers and accessories, a retractable keyboard compartment, and space below the desk to house computer peripherals such as a printer and scanner.

These desks are not limited to simple clear glass designs either. You can now purchase glass desks with a variety of tints. The most common colours being blue and black.
